Blockchain Project: Digital Asset Canton Network Blockchain Protocol

Canton is a ledger interoperability protocol, written in Daml. Participant nodes on the Canton blockchain protocol can link with Daml-bassed apps and then connect globally into one ledger, using Canton as the protocol for the enforcement of ledger rules regarding privacy and authorizations.

Canton Network is an open blockchain network designed for institutional assets. It has the potential to provide interoperability within synchronized financial markets. A pilot with 45 financial and blockchain institutions including Abrdn, BNY Mellon, BNP Paribas, Goldman Sachs, IEX, Microsoft, Paxos, Standard Chartered, State Street and Visa was completed that simulated interoperability for tokenized securities, money market funds and cash.
