DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION Blockchain Project: Nissan NFT & Metaverse Program
In the US, Nissan has filed trademark applications for NISSAN, NISMO, INFINITI for Metaverse advertising, NFTs, and virtual goods.
In Europe, Nissan launched the Nissan Booster NFT card game in April, 2023. The game included a contest in which the winner was granted a trip to London and VIP access to the London E-Prix Nissan paddock.
Nissan also auctioned an exclusive NFT of the 2021 GT-R NISMO in 2021. This was a digital twin NFT featuring artwork by Alex McLeod and the winning bidder also received its physical counterpart, a Nissan GT-R Nismo Special Edition. The NFT was listed for $280,000 CA (Canadian dollars) but actually sold for $2.3 million CA.
