Blockchain Project: Hyperledger Iroha
Hyperledger Iroha is a distributed ledger technology framework for building business infrastructure projects.
Hyperledger Iroha has two versions, Iroha 1 and Iroha 2, that are developed concurrently and are not compatible.
Hyperledger Iroha (2) offers a Byzantine Fault Tolerant consensus algorithm called Sumeragi. (Iroha 1 used a different consensus algorithm, a crash fault tolerant consensus called Yac.)
Iroha 2 offers, minimal code base, is written in Rust and has a WASM-powered smart contract engine and event-driven architecture.
From the documentation,
"With Iroha users can:
- Create and manage custom fungible assets, such as currencies, gold, and others
- Create and manage non-fungible assets
- Manage user accounts with a domain hierarchy and multi-signature transactions
- Use efficient portable smart contracts implemented either via WebAssembly or Iroha Special Instructions
- Use both permissioned and permission-less blockchain deployments"
As with all Hyperledger projects, Hyperleder Iroha is open source.
