Blockchain Project: Forbes NFT & Metaverse Program

Forbes has had several Web3 endeavors including the 'Merchants of the Metaverse' standalone NFT on Nifty Gateway which sold for $333,333. Proceeds of the sale were donated to the Committee to Protect Journalists and the  International Women's Media Foundation.

Forbes Virtual NFT Billionaires was an NFT project on Ethereum featuring billionaire themed ERC-721 tokens that participants could purchase on FTX.

The media company also minted its 2024 list of '30 Under 30' members as Ethereum NFTs.

Forbes also ventured into the metaverse courtesy of Polygonal Mind Creative Development Studio in November, 2022 with a gamified experience in the Sandbox that including wearable NFTs, Forbes' virtual NFT Billionaires gallery, a historical Forbes Highlander Yacht, and more.

Following the success of the 2022 event, Forbes eventually launched a permanent presence in the Sandbox.

Forbes offers a membership to the the ForbesWeb3 Community (with tech by Galxe) which allows access to Forbes Digital Assets premium content. Participants gain membership by using a custom wallet called Connect Wallet (via Magic) to connect their crypto wallets and members get access to all Forbes Digital Assets content for free.

Additionally Forbes has initiated the Forbes Legacy Pass, a limited set of 1,917 soulbound passes curated for the creators, entrepreneurs and change-markers shaping the Web3 world.
