To bring this functionality to life, Samsung is partnering with Nifty Gateway, a provider of NFT marketplace and custodial wallet technology that can be privately labeled (Starbucks Odyssey is an example of another NFT program that relies on Nifty). Nifty Gateway and Samsung have worked together to develop an NFT viewing, purchasing, and trading experience that’s tailored for Samsung’s televisions. That experience relies on Nifty Gateway's custodial wallet system, where the platform safeguards users' collectibles, eliminating the need for an external, “self-custodied” wallet. Additionally, users can buy NFTs with fiat currency using a credit or debit card, as well as cryptocurrency.

The Nifty Gateway NFT platform will be seamlessly incorporated into Samsung's premium TV models for 2022, including the QLED and Neo QLED sets. Owners of Samsung's The Frame and Micro LED sets will have to access the platform by downloading the Nifty Gateway app.

"Through our partnership with Samsung, one of the global leaders of electronics, together we will expose millions of mainstream users to NFTs,” said Nifty Gateway Co-founder Griffin Cock Foster. He continues, “This year, we hope to see continued growth from mainstream consumers by providing — for the first time ever — a seamless way to buy and collect NFTs. We couldn’t be more excited to have a partner such as Samsung align to our mission.”
