General Motors Files Web3 Trademarks For Its Cadillac And Chevrolet Brands

General Motors, the American automotive giant, has filed trademark applications related to Web3 for its popular Cadillac and Chevrolet brands.
These applications, submitted to the US Patent and Trademark Office on February 16, 2023, signify the company's intention to provide digital media files that encompass various forms of creative content, including artwork, text, audio, or video. These digital assets will be authenticated using non-fungible tokens (NFTs), adding a layer of uniqueness and authenticity to the digital media offered by General Motors.
Trademark attorney Michael Kondoudis shared the filing news on Twitter.
Other automotive brands like Ford, Lamborghini, Nissan, and Mercedes-Benz have also stepped into Web3 via trademark filings and NFT collection launches.
