In an official tweet published by the Vault by CNN profile, the company stated, “Vault was originally launched as a 6-week experiment, but the support and engagement from our community let us expand this project into something much larger. Thank you to each of you for your interest and engagement on what we built together… At CNN’s core is a spirit of innovation and experimentation, going right back to our founding in 1980. We learned a lot from our first foray into Web3, and we are excited to carry Vault’s concepts around community storytelling into future projects.”

Consequently, there will be no further releases of new NFT drops under the Vault brand. However, the Vault Marketplace will continue to operate. Collectors can continue to enjoy a range of features on the Vault website, including the ability to create accounts, log in, explore their collections, and use the Vault Marketplace. Users can also leverage third-party applications within the Flow blockchain ecosystem, so they can display, trade, and use their NFTs.
