MotoGP Ignition is a competitive management and collectibles game platform centered around the MotoGP universe. As a licensee of the MotoGP brand, Animoca will develop the game on Flow Blockchain with the support of Dapper Labs, the original creators of Flow Blockchain, NBA Top Shot, and CryptoKitties. The first content sale for MotoGP Ignition is set to kick off on March 26, 2021.

MotoGP is managed by Dorna Sports, S.L. and is the oldest global motorsports championship, showcasing the fastest riders and cutting-edge prototype racing motorcycles. Now, with the introduction of MotoGP Ignition, fans can own and trade collectibles related to their beloved MotoGP bikes and personalities, all secured on the blockchain.

Users will get access to two captivating MotoGP branded experiences. Firstly, a digital collectibles platform will enable users to buy and sell cards of various rarity levels. Secondly, a racing manager game will offer NFT collectibles of MotoGP bikes, riders, and champions, allowing players to assemble their ultimate racing teams and compete against each other.

“We are very excited to begin launching MotoGP Ignition in the coming months and are absolutely thrilled to be the next major sports brand on the Flow Blockchain after the success of NBA Top Shot,” said Yat Siu, co-founder and chairman of Animoca Brands.
